Regnant Populus, The People Rule Origin of state's name: French interpretation of a Sioux word acansa, meaning downstream place. Added to the Union in 1836 Arkansas is home to Bill Clinton, Maya Angelou, Sam Walton, and Johnny Cash.

A few more pics of that little mercantile that we found when we were lost in Arkansas.  We both really loved this little spot AND the drive around the area.  Very beautiful!
